For some unknown reason, men are disposed to prize and occasionally soak up random useless knowledge. These useless knowledge facts is the outcome of thousands of years of fact collecting and arrangement performed by humans all over the Earth. Our draw to useless knowledge facts may be just as much a product of our personal existential urge to compile statistics to help us describe ourselves inside that world. Our identity may very well be in the myriad knowledge accumulated since the beginning of scrivened human civilization.
While we are so frequently confused about the significance of these seemingly useless bits of knowledge, we are also driven by them. Lists of these bits of knowledge have been amassed for ages. Even in modern times, we see them in tomes like “Guinness World Records”, whose publication has been in the hands of countless members of our species. Within these lists, we find that our own different worries and neuroses may not be so strange. This provides us with a degree of solace that may help us keep acting in the fashion we have become used to.
If we lived in a culture whose goals and motives were not amassed, our our own enduring spirit might also be mangled by the ticking clock of time.
