We Are Who We Are To God Regardless Of Who We “Say” We Are! Part I

University of Religion

Most people wear an outer mask of who they want others to think
they are. One thing is for certain, however, and that is God
truly knows who you are regardless of who you say you are or who
you try to make others think you are. And….you even deceive
yourself into believing who you are.

This is my first Article of Ministry. I was inspired to begin
this Ministry two nights ago as I took my daily, soulful walk.
During these walks I have the most comforting conversations with
Jesus, who relays all our conversations to his Father and my
Father in Heaven, who is “God,” the “Almightiest God.” I say:
The Almightiest God, because there are many other Gods in our
land besides the one true living God who is the Father of Jesus
Christ. Only one spirit of God, but many other spirits among us.
So that wherever God’s spirit is, evil is always present.

Tonight came the first topic to speak about. The bible
scriptures that rambled through my head goes something like
this: “all the ways of man are right in his own eyes.”

Now how many people fits this description is the question that
comes to my mind as well. And….does God, the Father, want us
to continue with this act and masking of a persona or would he
like for us to just come clean and admit who we really are, so
we can repent and turn from the ways we deny we are, but God
Almighty knows we are, and those ways are what keeps so many
people from actually walking along side or a bit behind Jesus
Christ.

Most “christian” people I have met since being a borned again
christian continually try to walk and do walk ahead of Jesus and
the Holy Ghost. They wear an outer costume (which I call a
uniform of chrisitianity) and mask to all the world around them
and many of these people on the outside look very “clean,” but
the Holy Ghost reveals to me, the majority of the mask and
uniform wearers are as “ravening wolves” on the inside - full of
spots and blemishes, full of sin, full of hate, full of envy,
full of strife, full of pride and so on and on with
unrighteousness until they are continually choked and do choke
up the “real words” of purity from God.

This topic is going to require more than one article, The Lord
Just revealed to me, and I must close right here as the spirit
bids me, and so will I do. I am a prisoner of Christ. I go and
come at his lead. Separate from above: Would you like to know
what being a prisoner of Christ is truly like? If you have ears
to hear, then open them up and listen, God will speak to you
about his truths and about his ways. But if you desire to
continue to wear the mask and try and portray to all others the
person you want to be and the person you really are is actually
known by God (who knows all things), who knows you are not what
you portray yourself to be……then you will never, never find
the true pathway that leads to spritual bliss and ultimately
eternal life. Subject closed. No more to be said.

If, however, you are willing to come forth and admit you are not
who the mask and uniform on the outside of you says you
are……you are on your way to repentence and the most joyous
and blissful journey toward eternal life you cannot even imagine
at this point in time.

And Jesus says: “whomsoever will come forth with a truly honest
heart before me and this world is welcome to begin the journey
toward my Kingdom.” Anyone trying to get to eternal life any
other way is the same as a thief and a robber.

The Jewish Chaplaincy

The Jewish Chaplaincy
By Don Canaan

On Feb. 3, 1943, the S.S. Dorchester was ferrying American troops to Europe. The young soldiers on board, fresh from school and their families, did not have any idea a U-boat was tailing them until the German torpedoes struck the ship broadside.

The men were ordered over the side, but there weren’t enough life jackets to go around. The four chaplains on board voluntarily gave up their life preservers and lives so that some others might live.

The four chaplains were a Catholic priest, Methodist and Baptist ministers and Rabbi Alexander D. Goode of Cincinnati. They stood on the deck, hand in hand, as the Dorchester tilted and sank beneath the waves of the turbulent mid-Atlantic.

Jews have been a part of every American Army since the Revolutionary War, but Jewish chaplains were not allowed to serve them until the end of World War I.

Fifty percent of West Point’s first graduating class of 1802 was Jewish, but the class consisted of only two graduates.

More than 8,000 Jewish soldiers, including eight generals, 21 colonels, 40 majors, 205 captains, 325 lieutenants, 48 adjutants and 25 surgeons served in the Union Army. Seven Jews won the Congressional Medal of Honor during the fraternal conflict.

One Jew, Michael Allen, was appointed a chaplain in the 5th Pennsylvania Cavalry during the Civil War, but he was forced to resign under pressure. The Volunteer Bill specifically required chaplains to be “regularly ordained clergymen of some Christian denomination.”

By the end of 1917 the Jewish Welfare Board (JWB) was asked to recruit rabbis to serve in the Chaplain Corps. Many Jewish doughboys had complained they had not seen one Jewish chaplain during their entire military career. Jewish volunteers accounted for 20 percent of all American land and sea forces.

The War Department had authorized one rabbi for every 1,200 men, but it was estimated recruitment only amounted to one per 10,000 Jews. In order to expand this coverage, the JWB furnished a Ford automobile for each rabbi, making them, as one chaplain said, the envy of all of France.”

Two Witnesses in Jerusalem

University of Religion

Church of God minister Arlen Berkey, in “The Work of God in the Laodicean Era,” makes a statement nobody in God’s Church would disagree with: “The whole world will soon know about the two witnesses. They will not be welcome by this world.”

We are not responsible for how the world reacts to these two men (it does NOT say ministers), however, we should question whether the two witnesses will be welcome by God’s Church!

Does that sound preposterous? Presumptuous? Not if you’re well-versed in holy Scripture! It was often the religious who opposed the Prophets and it was the religious leaders who stirred up the people to cry out against Jesus: “Crucify Him!” There is nothing new under the sun.

The two witnesses will be sent by God in the spirit of Elijah. The chief spokesman between the two will hail from the royal house of David and fulfills the Elijah role and will shake up the earth by his God-given MESSAGE and MIRACLES! (Zechariah 12:8).

Herbert W. Armstrong, in the spirit of Elijah, laid the foundation for such a great Work, and restored precious truths to God’s CHURCH. Jesus Christ will restore God’s government to the entire Earth (Acts 3:21). The interlude finds the leader of the two witnesses, in the spirit of Elijah/HWA, restoring truth to the NATION of Israel (Malachi 4:4). There is no contradiction. This is based upon the Law and the Covenant and is testifed to by the Prophets.

Some might initially resist God’s choice of men to fulfill the controversial roles of the two witnesses (Jeremiah 15:10). Even Moses’ met rejection by his own people God sent him to save (Acts 7:25, 35). Moses and Aaron met first with the elders of Israel before going before pharaoh (Exodus 4:29). God’s Church will know the identity of the two witnesses before the world sees them take the stand in Jerusalem.

God’s apostle, Herbert W. Armstrong, saw we must reach “the cities of Judah” and yet God didn’t permit him to do it. But God will give Judah His Message, last but not least! God has been raising up someone for this very purpose (Isaiah 41:27).

Herbert Armstrong also began to see that God’s Church has a divine commission to help physically prepare for Christ’s coming to Jerusalem: a Mideast Mideast Commission. Read and believe it for yourself in Mr. Armstrong’s autobiography and wonder why you haven’t heard any of your ministers preaching about it or chomping at the bit to get it done.

Soon the the two witnesses will rise and shine in this world of darkness, and finish the Work that God has given us to do. Jesus Christ is returning in this generation! May we be found worthy to escape the nuclear blitzkrieg about to strike, and to stand before Christ when He returns to claim David’s Throne in Jerusalem!

Here’s some kosher food for thought:

Will an earthquake bring water to the deserts? Preparing the way for the Church of God to enter “Her Place?” (Isaiah 43:20).
